Lauren grabbed the chart next to the exam room door and ran through her next patient's medical history. He was thirty-seven-years old with no history of smoking or drug use although he was a firefighter, but his last physical was great.
When she glances up to speak to her patient she has to fight for professionalism. The man was here for his yearly physical exam and she had never seen a more perfect male in all her years as a doctor.
She has never had to fight for professionalism, but she didn't know how she was going to handle his privates without thinking about the gorgeous man they are attached to.
Three months later the man she hasn't been able to get out of her head is standing before her. Her father had invited him to Thanksgiving dinner. She didn't know why she never considered that he would work at her dad's firehouse.
As if their first meeting wasn't awkward enough... her dad was his boss.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. Lauren has just returned to San Diego to be closer to her family after spending the last ten years practicing in New York. Garrett is forbidden. Not only because her dad is his Captain, but he has made it clear over the years that firefighters weren't good enough for her since they were never home.
This book is action-packed and will keep you laughing. Their first date is totally unexpected and hilarious. Garrett is dealing with a vindictive ex-wife who refuses to work with him spending time with his twelve-year-old twins when he is called out for an emergency making that time all the more precious.
These children definitely bring a dose of reality to these characters... the things that come out of their mouths are hilarious.
If you love laugh-out-loud romance with smoking-hot chemistry you will love this book! Warning this book is snort out loud laugable so read in public at your own risk. Highly recommend this book and anything they write!
