Emilia was determined to make the Nightshades and specifically Rafael pay for the hand that he played in the death of her father. Once he had been her very breath, but now she wanted him punished and as an FBI Agent she had the power behind her.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. This series needs to be read in order, but more importantly, Rafael and Emilia's story begins with the prequel, Wicked Mistletoe, so you definitely will want to read the beginning of it all.
This book is action-packed and full of danger. It is packed with misunderstandings as Emilia has been fed lies by the one she trusted the most. Lies that have surprising twists to the story.
Emilia has pissed off some of her former family of brothers as she has tried to separate Maximo and Michael of their mates. I really expected Rafael and Emilia's story to be the final in the series so I am really excited to see how Romero finishes out the series.
Highly recommend this dark mafia romance.
