Forrest rushed into his daughter's school, heading for the nurse's office. He had been called when his four-year-old daughter's mother hadn't answered her phone. He had made a quick stop at the closest pharmacy hoping they had something in his daughter's size.
Another reason he hated only seeing his daughter on Wednesday afternoons and one weekend out of the month was that he didn't have any clothes for her to change into.
They are standing in line when the woman in front of them pays for the cookie that Dakota had been salivating over since they entered the cafe. This resulted in his daughter having a major meltdown. When the woman gave his daughter the treasured cookie despite his demands that Dakota didn't get to throw temper fits to get her way he was livid.
When they saw the woman looking devastated when the man she was meeting with left the cafe, Dakota insisted he take the cookie to her to make her feel better. Except she informed him where he could shove the cookie as she left in tears.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable.
Forrest is trying his best to dad he can despite only getting to see her at the mother's whims. Unfortunately, his law degree isn't enough to pay for her exclusive private school. And if anyone ever found out his real job he would lose any chance to spend time with his daughter.
Sora was a romance author and she was excited when approached to the literary agent. Until she realized he didn't want to represent her. He wanted an introduction to her famous dad.
This book is action-packed, full of angst and steamy hot. This book will keep you laughing as you turn the pages to see what happens next. Highly enjoyable!
