REVIEW - ROSE MOON by Heidi Adams

Karter was five years old when he first saw her. They were having a barbeque at his grandparent's home on Maine's shore. His mother was warning him to slow down and stay in the middle of the dock so he didn't fall in.

He remembers leaning over the edge and reaching out his hand asking her her name. But no one else saw the girl in the water.

Karter is trying to focus. There are only a few more minutes in class and he can feel the fog rolling in. He has had these involuntary daydreams for years. He used to be full of rage feeling like someone was taking over his thoughts, but he has gotten better in warding them off.

Being at his grandfather's property on Cliff Island and sitting at the piano composing is the only thing that gives him control of his thoughts.

I loved this story! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. This story is written in single POV and surprisingly it is from Karter's view and not Ella's. Karter has been drawn to Cliff Island his whole life and when he finally meets the 'girl in the water' he is amazed that she is a mermaid.

If you like paranormal romance you will love this book. Karter and Ella have a magnetic connection despite her being a mermaid, but she is able to turn human during the rose moon each year. Until one day she is just gone taking away all Karter's reason for living.

There is so much I could say about this book, but they would involve spoilers. This book does have a HEA and even though it doesn't leave you with a cliffhanger you know that their journey hasn't ended. Highly recommend!
