REVIEW - THE ROOMMATE AGREEMENT by A Akinosho

Daniel is at his best friend's elaborate tradional Yoruba wedding where Luke even wore the tradional garb for his bride. The wedding events had been fun and he got to spend time with men he considered his brothers.

He is skirting around the dance floor to find the restroom when a body slams into him. She turns with an apology as she rejoins her dance partner and he stands frozen. He has never had such a reaction to a woman before.

Daniel is back in Chicago to fix his brother's screwup and arrives at his sister's just as she is walking out the door and asks if he will see his niece's music teacher out after their piano lesson.

The woman coming around the corner is none other than the woman he has been obsessing about since Luke's wedding. When she needs a roommate and a 'fake' boyfriend, he is more than happy to volunteer.

I loved this book. It can be read as a standalone, but the characters are recurring throughout.

Ms K keeps her real identity a secret as she is a musical prodigy and responsible for writing some of the top music by a famous band. But she is also trying to avoid her father's matchmaking as her life threatening sickle cell disease is nothing she wants to burden anyone with.

This book is action-packed and full of twists. Highly recommend.
