Bruce is jarred from sleep from his phone ringing. He tries to roll back over but it keeps ringing. Their families are known enemies so he doesn't know why Jonah keeps calling and texting. He finally loses it when he sees that Jonah has the nerve to be at the door to his building.
Jonah is begging on his knees for him to protect his girl until he can figure out who is trying to kill her. He knows that hiding her with his enemy would be the last place anyone would look for her and regardless of how they feel about each other he knows that Bruce is the best at what he does.
I loved this book! This series has recurring characters but can be read as a standalone.
Jonah gives Lexi one rule - don't tell Bruce who she is. Jonah gives Bruce one rule - hands off his girl, Lexi.
This book is action-packed and full of danger and suspense. This book is full of twists and turns and huge coincidences. And steamy hot. Lexi is running for her life and nightmares and the one person she shouldn't trust is the one who makes her feel the safest. Highly recommend!
