Tristan was sitting at the bar of one of the fancier bars in Chamonix, trying to ignore that his date was late and he was being stood up. It was nicer than the dive she had picked for their first date, but he wanted to impress her and this was more his style. But when he gets a call from his boss, despite the late hour he paid his tab and headed out.
They had met in the unlikeliest of places as they both reached for the same can of tuna. Despite their obvious differences, he was intrigued. And after their kiss at the end of the night, he wanted to get to know her better. But, despite his disappointment, he got the message. She didn't share his interest.
So when his boss called and asked if he could come in, he paid his tab and headed out. He was a pilot for the rescue team at Chamonix PGHM, much to the dismay of his family. They didn't understand why he insisted on 'his little hobby' instead of taking over the family business. Like anything was more important to him than saving lives.
When he gets to headquarters he finds out that the woman they are searching for is the Colonel's daughter, Madeleine. But his body goes still when he sees her photo. Madeleine is staring back at him... but he knew her as Lena.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. This book has its own HEA, but these characters are recurring and it always feels like home reading the next in the series so I suggest you read them all. These men (and women) of the Mont Blanc Rescue team.
This book is action-packed and will have you turning the pages as the team searches for the daughter of one of their own. Each story seems to get better, although they are all great and each story just gives you a greater connection into the lives of everyone in the series.
JR Pace brings you right into the danger and suspense as if you are there in the French Alps along with the team. Highly recommend!
