Carli is the manager of The Lockwood, a combination of shops with apartments, that is the center of their town. When the owner dies and sends his best friend to town, everyone is very suspicious since he is a property analyst.
Is their beloved landmark and their home going to be sold? Because even though he loved his grandfather, Graeme had avoided returning to town and everyone highly doubted he would keep the property.
I loved this book! It can be read as a standalone, but you will get a better feel for this small town and recurring characters by reading this series in order.
When Xander arrives in town, he is treated with suspicion even though he grew up there. They knew he was there to inspect the property, but whether his report would suggest that Graeme make repairs or sell was not helping his welcome. It didn't help that he was attracted to the property manager, Carli.
If you like slow-burning, small-town romance, you will love this series. This author duo brings you wonderful characters and a tight community of friends. Highly recommend!
