Isaiah learned from an early age to hide his feelings. Showing feelings was dangerous. But having feelings was even more dangerous as they can be used against you.
He should never have approached her on her first day at St. Mary's Boarding School. He knew all he could bring her was pain and now she is finding out who he truly is.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. This is book two in Isaiah and Gemma's duet. In an interrelated series that needs to be read in order.
Gemma thought she had found safety in Isaiah, only to find out that the horrors of her childhood weren't going to be as easy to escape as she thought. She should have listened to her brother when he told her to trust no one.
This is a very dark bully romance with very dark themes, so if this type of story triggers you, beware. It is action-packed with unexpected twists that drag you deeper into this dark world. The Judge and his influence go deeper than any nightmare Gemma could have imagined.
If you like dark romance with morally gray men fighting an even bigger evil, you will love these books! Highly recommend.
