Cassandra Economos is back in Sterling to celebrate Thanksgiving with her family. Her huge Greek family. Her huge Greek judgmental family. She doesn't know why she even tries because they have never accepted her choices. All her parents and her older brother Greg do is criticize her.
Why did she move away? Why doesn't she work at the family restaurant? Why can't she find a good Greek boy?
Now it is why is she buying a house with a man she barely knows? Why is she dating a rock star? You know what they say about rock star... yada, yada, yada.
Why? Why? Why? All they ever do is lecture and now she is terrified that when Nat meets them for the first time at Christmas that her obnoxious family will chase him away.
Jennifer is having her own issues as her father who deserted his family nine years before tries to reconnect.
I loved this continuing story about Cassandra Economos. It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. This series is meant to be read as a series and not as standalone novels. The holiday books in this series are written in several POV - Cassie, Nat, Jennifer and Phil and have a way of welcoming you further into the inner workings of the Economos family.
This series begins when Cassie is in high school and first becomes aware of her sexuality and throughout the series we get to know her family and the sexual experiences that have molded her. She is from a huge vocal Greek family who try to push their old traditions on her and lecture her at every turn about being an independent woman free to make her own decisions.
You will laugh. You will want to help her strangle her brother and you can feel the eye rolls. The main books in the series are written in Cassie's POV and at times like a diary entry. Once you start this series you can't wait for the next book. Highly recommend.
