Blair kept zoning out in the meeting of coalition leaders banding together to fight the rogue fae group. The Fae Council, leaders of both the wolf and bear shifter communities, had joined the meeting at the request of his twin brother, Blake. Blake was the leader of the dragon shifters after winning the alpha challenge against their oldest brother, Avery.
But Blake's next words snapped Blair out of his musings when he said the was sending Blair on a mission on Earth. And he was sending their brother Clive to ensure Blair followed his orders. Blair was being sent on a forced vacation.
He was ordered to only eat, sleep, hunt, camp, and engage in sexual activities, but absolutely no work of any kind was allowed - and he was sending their brother Clive with him to make sure he followed orders.
Clive and his medical team's mission on Earth was to check on Taryn's old clinic, as there had been unusual shifter activity and to give any medical support as needed.
Blair has just sat to eat a sandwich before taking a run when a news alert comes on. The clinic Clive was there for was in chaos and the police were trying to get the huge grizzly under control. Blair stared as the bear shifted back to human in shock. Pulling out the photo his sister-in-law had given him, he looked back at the TV to confirm the images matched.
When did Taryn's best friend turn into a bear shifter? Orders forgotten, Blair ran for the door to get to the clinic.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. This book has its own HEA, but this series is intended to be read in order as the characters are recurring and there is an underlying story as they fight a group of rogue faes.
This story is action-packed, full of danger and suspense and sexual heat. You don't want to miss this series if you like shifter romances. You will get lost in these characters and can't wait to read the next story. Highly recommend.
