REVIEW - PHANTORIFT by KR Ruth

He and his best friend Wolf were watching the scientist who claimed he had unlocked the key to the universe. But he doesn't want to use his discovery to help mankind, but for profit.

It was almost too easy to kidnap him, he was so self-absorbed. But that changed as soon as he realized who had him. Max Thorne wanted that formula and would stop at nothing to have it. But they needed more than the formula. They needed a test subject.

Max and Wolf were genius scientists who were kicked out of the scientific world when they blew up the lab at MIT. They are determined to perfect the formula, but have no plan of the buyers getting their hands on it.

And the perfect test subject lands in their lap when she witnesses Max commit a murder. Only to become obsessed with the test subject.

I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. This book is has a total twist just when I thought I knew what was going on Max turns the tables and everything isn't as simple as it seems.

Max has only one focus... scientific formulas is his language, but Zora made him want something he never wanted... a relationship.

Max is unhinged, manipulative, morally corrupt, and a genius with a caveman mentality, but I loved him. He was so entertaining to get to know especially when Wolf pushed his buttons. Highly recommend.

PHANTORIFT is book one of the Rule of Rogues series
