REVIEW - THE CASE OF THE CROAKED COACH by Susie Black

Hannah pulled into the high school parking lot in her Nana's huge boat of a car. One of her friends exits her Volkswagen Bug and laughs at her, and they head inside. Just as they are approaching the head football coach, Buzz Bixby's office, they have to avoid the door that just flew open, followed by the enraged English Lit teacher, Margaret Hempler, telling him to stay away from her.

Wide-eyed, they watched the very married coach hug the also married teacher, telling her she didn't mean it. Just as she extracted herself from his arms, she turned and ran into the coach's wife. This is just the type of story Hannah was looking for as a journalism student and reporter for their school paper, Coyote Weekly Clarion.

Julie and Hannah rushed to meet their friends to share what they had just seen. Then, they found out what happened at the faculty family picnic and why the coach was wearing a shiner.

It was also rumored that Coach Bixby was taking the credit for the football team's winning plays and might be in line for a college job.

When the coach ends up being murdered and a student was accused, Hannah is determined to find the real culprit and the list of suspects grows longer the more she investigates.

I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. This book is action-packed and will have you turning the pages as you follow all the clues to find out who murdered the high school football coach.

I love the characters, and the clues in this whodunit mystery will lead you to the killer's identity, while also shedding light on the other rumors. Highly entertaining!
