Luke apologizes to Flor for being unable to protect her. Begs her to accept the offer of the Northern pack where she will be safe. He watches as she leaves him and the Southern pack behind, praying that Brand can keep her safer than he had.
Margarette had offered her a place in the Northern pack. Promising she would be safe. Only Margarette's niece had other plans for Flor.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. This is book two of The Splintered Bond series and the books are intended to be read in order. They are not standalone books.
Flor has been hunted by her pack all her life. She has never been safe. Despite the claims of Luke, Brand, and Glen of being her true mates, she is determined to not accept any mate. Brand finds out that his pack isn't as equal as he has been told. His parents are holding secrets and it isn't the safe haven for Flor after all.
This shifter romance is action-packed and full of danger from start to finish. Flor is running for her life again. At least in the Southern pack she knew what to expect. I love these characters and the added threads that are pulling this story together. Highly recommend this series!
