REVIEW - CUCKOO by Nikki Landis

Cuckoo had grown up in a foster home, and the only good thing that came from that was when the five-year-old girl Katrina entered their life. He was determined to protect her even though he was a child himself, but there was no way he was letting the monsters near this angel.

She was thirteen the last time he saw her, but she loved when they were able to sneak out and dress up for Halloween and he promised to keep wearing them. She wanted to always think of him and remember the costumes and the great times they had enjoyed.

Now he wore them every day and he never got tired of his MC brothers asking him 'What the H3LL was he wearing?' since he loved mixing them up and the more bizarre the happier he is.

It had been twelve years since he had seen her. When their computer hacker, Eagle Eye, offered to find her for him, he couldn't pass up the opportunity to make sure she was okay.

Katrina recognized him as soon as she left the library. Rain. She was lucky to have been adopted by a nice family, but she had never forgotten him. And the man sitting on his Harley wearing a costume was hard to ignore.

I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. Even though this story has its own HEA, I would suggest that you read this series in order as the characters are recurring and there is an underlying enemy throughout the series.

This is a story I have been waiting for since Cuckoo was introduced to us. I had to meet the crazy behind the costumes lol and I wasn't disappointed. All of Nikki Landis's MC romances run on the dark side, but Cuckoo's story has the most heartbreaking abusive childhood. And those who would abuse children were still out there and they had also found Katrina and were determined to get her back.

This book is action-packed and full of danger. Although there are several MC club series, you will get Easter egg moments as the series intersect, and this one crosses over with the same enemy in My Inked Neighbor. Despite the very dark undertones of this story it is smoking hot and Cuckoo may be one of my favorites. He will definitely keep you laughing as you wonder what he will be wearing the next day. Highly recommend!
