Jessica is running through the forest in the small town of Redcliffe when a man steps out of the trees. She felt a jolt of fear until she realized it was her boyfriend, Jack, until his lips touched hers and she realized it was Jack's identical twin brother, Danny.
Then she realized it had only been a dream. When she first saw the man beside her she was scared that it was Danny, but was relieved to find it was Jack. Her life had changed a month ago when she found out that not only did Jack have an identical twin, but Jack was a vampire and Danny was a werewolf.
Now there was a werewolf who wanted control of Danny's pack and Danny is trying to convince her to sleep with him. She is in danger physically and emotionally and has nowhere to turn.
This is book 2 of The Redcliffe Novels and they need to be read in order. Jessica has had a traumatic few months finding out about Jack and Danny was hard enough, but finding out that she is a witch comes as a bigger shock. Having dream conversations with the mother she never knew, along with everything else in this small town, is throwing Jessica a loop.
As if she didn't have enough to deal with, Marcus another vampire, is determined have a relationship with her after he saved her from Jack during a hunger frenzy and she meets her familiar. A tiger that is determined to have Danny.
This book is action-packed and full of danger as Jessica finds her new reality as a witch and trying to not lose her humanity and friendship with Liz. These books are an immediate continuation on the previous one and have to be read in order.
If you like vampire and shifter romances, you will like this series.
