Nico and his teammates needed to blow off steam after their coach put them through a brutal workout following the loss of their last game.
He was waiting at the bar when a woman bumped into him. She apologized about being bumped into him by the crowd, saying she needed a drink because she was feeling like a third wheel since her friend brought her boyfriend.
Their dancing left them wanting more and Nico pulled her through the VIP section where he found them some privacy in a supply closet. Only to be interrupted by one of his teammates saying they needed help getting another out before trouble started.
All he managed to get before a last kiss was her phone number. He had no idea what her name was. Only that she was new to town for a photography job.
As soon as the photography position opened up for the Orchid City Vipers, it seemed like the perfect escape for Harper. A new start in a new city after ending a disastrous relationship. She had just received her assignment and was setting up outside the player’s locker room when she gaped at the players walking toward her.
It had been three days since the night at the club and he was the of the star up-and-coming centers for the Orchid City Vipers. He was who she was just assigned to photograph and shadow during today’s game.
Just her luck that not only was he off-limits being a player, but after dating a hockey player in the past, she had no plans of dating another.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. Nico was shocked to find out his almost one-night-stand’s new job was a photographer for his team. It was like fate was giving him another chance since he hadn’t known her name. But Harper was determined to keep their relationship professional so she didn’t lose her job, but also her past experience left her not wanting anything to do with another hockey player.
This book is action-packed, sizzling hot, and will keep you turning the pages as Nico tries to change Harper's mind and give him a chance. This book is full of team camaraderie, superstitions, and wonderful characters. Highly recommend!
