Natalie arrived home to find disaster. Her sister and niece shared the home that was left to them by their mother and having a burst water line wasn’t in her plans. Especially since she just found out that there was a nurse’s strike and she didn’t know how long she would be without work.
She definitely hadn’t planned on walking into their Airbnb rental to find a naked man. Her sister neglected to tell her they had a tenant. A drop-dead gorgeous tenant who had just stepped out of the shower.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. Although this book takes place in Tillikum, the story doesn’t involve the Baileys or the Havens, although there are mentions of the famous families. I love Jensen’s response to the town’s squirrel enthusiasm.
This book is a blend of the small town of Tillikum that we have fallen in love with, The Thomas Crowne Affair, and James Bond, with Jensen’s international intrigue following him to town.
The audiobook is in duet narration and Shane East and CJ Bloom blend with perfection. I loved listening to CJ Bloom, but Shane East… who doesn’t just die for a sexy English accent. Both of these voice actors brought the danger, suspense and romance of this story to life.
I highly recommend anything written by Claire Kingsley, but this story is everything you could ask for in a small-town suspense romance. Excellent!
