REVIEW - SUMMER SURPRISE by Mel Walker

Olivia loves her job at the Driftwood. The local seaside bar where she is server, hostess, part-time bartender and where she knows everyone like they are family. Because in this small town everyone knows everyone.

Everyone, except the enigmatic new Deputy Sheriff, Mark McBain. All anyone knows is that he is from Seattle and it didn’t end well. And no matter how much she turns on her charms she hasn’t cracked his secrets. And even though he is always around he avoids her advances.

When he was hired by Sheriff Murphy his assignment was to keep a careful watch on Olivia, the local Miss Sunshine. The weird part is that he is supposed to watch her closely, but with a stern warning to not get personally involved. Giving him no clue why she was on surveillance.

I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable.

This book is action-packed, full of danger and suspense and smoking hot. I have read numerous books by Mel Walker and this may be my favorite. This small town romance has several unexpected twists that shake up the town, but will also show you how communities come together when they are needed.

Highly recommend!
