REVIEW - MATERIAL BREACH by TJ Holloway

Julie is sitting in the law firm's conference room waiting for the last to arrive. Their firm has been hired regarding a regulatory matter. Their client wasn't the one being investigated, but was within a wider scope by association and wanted to make sure they were protected.

Thomas Swanson attended the meeting as an intermediary. They were told he had access to all the documents needed. But he gave the information in bread crumbs. Keeping information to himself until asked directly.
Julie's live-in boyfriend, Jonas, is a documentary filmmaker currently filming several families in the Bronx neighborhood and their intersecting lives over several decades.
But, Julie had made decisions in the investigation that put more than her six-year relationship with Jonas and her career on the line.
I loved this book. It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. This book is not a quick read. The deeper they get into the investigation, the more they realize how much they are being led and just how dangerous their line of questions have become.
This book is action-packed and full of danger, intrigue and suspense. I totally did not see the twist coming. This story has romantic elements, but there is definitely not an HEA. This book does not end on a cliffhanger, but it does make you wonder if Julie's story isn't over.
If you like legal suspense, you will love this book. Highly recommend.

MATERIAL BREACH is book one of the CONFLICTS OF INTEREST series
