Parker was where he wanted to be. Wide receiver playing next to his brother, Grayson, and managed by his oldest brother, JD. Except, for some reason, he has become butterfingers on the field.
So the team has hired someone to get into his head and help him figure out what is blocking him.
Only he shows up for his appointment and his performance coach is none other than Annika. His college tutor, the woman who had a mutual hate for him. She was the last person he needed inside his head.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. This book has its own HEA, but you really need to read this complete series from the beginning, including the free prequel, since this series revolves around the O'Ryan family. These characters are recurring throughout, but getting into the background of each story gives more depth to the series.
Annika had been Parker's physiology tutor and it hadn't ended well. He felt judged and under a microscope and she was cold and strict with her rules.
But, while she was trying to figure out the mystery of his head game, Parker was trying to find out the mystery of Annika, and what she was hiding.
This enemies to lover's book is full of angst and spicy hot. Annika has been running from a horrifying past. One that has caught up with her and is about to explode and take away her change for a future with Parker. Expect to get out your Kleenex and deal with the worst horror a child could live through.
Highly recommend.
