Brandy is starting over. New state, new town, new job. After divorcing her cheating husband of nineteen years, she needed a fresh start.
She may have left him a few parting gifts before she drove away. He may not be happy but she sure left with a smile upon her face.
As she drove into her new hometown, she couldn't help but smile at all the small-town charm. She moved to Denture, not for the weird town name, but as the new Community Ambassador. The mayor wanted to increase community involvement and was certain she was perfect for the job.
The only problem is he wants her first major event to be for the following month and her perfect idea doesn't go over too well with the Fire Chief.
I loved this book. It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. Brandy wanted a fresh start. She did not plan to be the center of small-town gossip.
This book is hilarious. Remember how gossip can turn into a tin can and string telephone? Brandy finds herself in the middle of multiple wild rounds of town gossip. And the fire chief finds himself inserting his foot in his mouth much too often.
This is a first time author for me, but I look forward to reading more. If you want a light romantic read to keep you laughing, this is the perfect book. Highly recommend.
