Dr. Broadie Weston didn't usually go to the hospital cafeteria, but with the doctor's lounge under renovation, he had no choice. He only hoped he would be able to eat something before heading to the ER for the unstable patient he had just been paged for.
As he waited for the cashier, his attention was caught by a beautiful blonde in a lab coat, grabbing a salad. When he asked one of his fellow surgeons, he laughed at him, telling him that Poppy had been at the hospital for about eight years. Jarod told him he had probably talked to her, as she was a one of the hospital pharmacists.
Broadie can't believe he hadn't seen her before. With his busy surgical schedule, he usually just ducked into the doctor's lounge before heading to his next patient. His workaholic personality had been the reason for his divorce and missed so much of his two daughters growing up.
He doesn't date. And never with anyone associated with the hospital, but he can't get her off his mind. But, now he would do anything to go out with Poppy.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. This book can be read as a standalone, but this series is intended to be read in order as the characters are recurring and their stories interconnect.
Broadie is a divorced doctor whose marriage came second to his job. Poppy is a widow still grieving the death of her husband. Broadie is obsessed with Poppy and despite his efforts, she won't go out with him. So he puts what he hopes is a no-fail plan in action.
This book is full of twists and coincidences. It is smoking hot, full of action and will bring you to tears. There is so much to say, but it would be giving away too much of the story! Highly recommend!
