REVIEW - KING DADDY by Tammy Andresen

Jackson left the Flamingo after applying for the position as their head of security. Growing up working for the Italian mafia gave him plenty of experience busting heads.

And he wishes he could have stopped the moment it all began. The beginning of the end for his best friend, Mike, when he went to work for the Carcettis. And where his best friend went, he followed.

They were living the perfect life until Mike fell in love and got married. After their second child, Mike started staying out late, seeing another woman. He had a beautiful wife and four amazing kids, but having an affair with the boss's wife got him killed.

Mike's sister took in the youngest two kids, but Jackson did everything he could to to help out wherever he could since Gina worked full time and now raising three kids.

So he is at the school to pick up Arabella when the blonde holding her hand checks her clipboard. He has never had an issue in the past, but the woman holding her hand leads them inside since he is not listed on the pickup list.

Kate could feel the principal's unhappy gaze burning through her. She has hated her since she began, making it known she wasn't the first choice for the job. That was why she was so determined to follow the rules and not allow Jackson Stonewall to pick up Arabella, but instead of being happy, she was getting a lecture about how he would always be allowed to pick Arabella up from school.

After being lectured at work the last thing she needed was her car not to start when she was leaving the grocery store. And she definitely didn't need Jackson to knock on her window, asking if she needed assistance.

I loved getting Jackson's story. He has been in the background of this series as the Kincaids ' chauffeur and unofficial uncle. It was nice to see how it all began.

This story was a free gift offer at the end of King of Pain, the final book in the Lords of Vegas series, which I highly recommend.
