Bennett was ten years old when his sister, Gabby, aged out of the foster system and made a deal with their foster parents that they could keep the government money, just let her take her brother.
His job was to train for his dream of being a baseball player while she paid the bills. He was sixteen when he met Gabby's best friend and they exchanged numbers so they could both keep each other advised of any problems Gabby was keeping secret from them regarding money issues.
Now he is twenty-four and has his dream job as *** with the San Francisco Bombers. The Bombers are in a PR nightmare after their cheating scandal and Bennett is the one paying the price. Being new to the team, he, along with a player from both San Francisco's football and hockey franchises, is having to work at the zoo to help with their team's image.
Graydon seems to have found a way around him having to be filmed feeding flamingos, but so far Bennett is stuck with the lions and doesn't see how it is advancing their image.
As he is talking to a teammate, he receives a text from Bower. His sister's best friend. The woman he has crushed on since he was sixteen. And she is moving to San Francisco.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. Although this book can be read as a standalone, the series is intended to be read in order as the characters are recurring and the PR storyline continues throughout the series.
This book is action-packed and smoking hot and as with all of Meghan Quinn's books will keep you entertained. This is a forbidden, reverse-age-gap romance, and I think it might be one of my favorite books by Meghan yet and I'm actually scared to read OC's story LOL. Highly recommend!
