I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. Although this book has its own HEA, I highly suggest you read Ford's Fight, book one of this series as the characters are recurring, but also to get a full background on the charges against Johnathan Cassidy. The storyline of this story runs almost parallel to Ford's Fight further tying them together.
Dean is part of the unofficial Wagner's Brigade - a group of retired military men who lend their expertise to their impromptu leader Ford Wagner. After retiring from the SEALS instead of returning home to the States, he moved to Costa Rica to bartend for a friend, a fellow SEAL, and made friends with the other men who joined Ford when they retired.
Annie is a pediatrician who couldn't wait to move away from home after the death of her sister. She hated getting her hopes up but was determined to get justice for her sister and make her murderer pay.
This book is action-packed from page one and will keep you turning the pages as Dean follows any lead he can find to make sure Johnathan pays for all his crimes. This steamy hot romance takes you on a journey with several surprising twists. If you haven't read Ashley A Quinn in the past, I can't recommend her books enough. Her characters are amazing and the storylines are gripping. Can't wait for the next book in this series!
