Arley feels and hears everything in colors making her very sensitive to noise and because of this can't handle social situations and her only friend is Slater. He is the only thing that calms the noises in her head and who she has loved since the day they met.
Arley is the analyst at Haworth Enterprises and when she noticed a pattern of people retiring she realized that someone was poaching the best of their operatives. As she started investigating further she was lucky that their best agent was there to save her from the flying bullets.
What an amazing conclusion to Slater and Arley's story! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable.
“Stay safe, Cowboy.” “Stay sweet, Angel Cake.” Your heart will melt for Slater. A cross between James Bond and Jason Bourne with a twist of mercenary Slater is an operative who prefers rescue and recovery but is very proficient at capture and torture... especially those who dare threaten Arley.
This book starts exactly where Shatterproof, book one of the duet, ended. Xavier has written another amazing story full of action, danger and suspense and SMOKING hot! I cannot recommend this author enough! Highly recommend!
