Amy Preston needs a break from life to make some decisions. She is a museum curator, but since she dumped her cheating fiance she is wondering if now is a good time to go after her dream of opening an antique store. What better way to get away from it all than to travel to Australia for a month?
Ezra is a Night Stalker in the Army and loves the job that lets him fly the best of the best, but he is looking forward to spending time with his sister and newborn niece. She moved to Australia to marry a cattle rancher and between the distance and his job he hasn't seen her in a few years.
Amy tries to keep her jaw from dropping when the tall gorgeous man takes a seat next to her on the plane. She is both glad and sad that when they land in Australia they are going in separate directions. She isn't looking for a relationship, but what she wouldn't give to have the attention of this beautiful man.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. Although this book is part of The Wagner Brigade it goes backward in time when Ezra is still in the Army and before working with the McGinty family as he does in Ford's Fight, book one of the series. I highly recommend that you read this complete series and although this story doesn't tie into the danger from the other books in the series it does give you an insight into these men and the bond they have.
It is action-packed and will keep you turning the pages. Amy's plans are unexpectedly changed when she finds out that the dude ranch where she has reservations is shut down. With nowhere to stay Ezra insists on delaying his trip to his sister's until he knows she is safe... but when his brother-in-law is rushed to the hospital plans change again.
There are a few twists to the story, but I love how everything pulls together binding it to the rest of the series. Highly recommend!
