REVIEW - LOVE THE WAY YOU HATE ME by Gayatri Ramchandran

Dane is the star quarterback of the Oxbridge Wildcats and is full of rage and self-hatred. But the moment he lays eyes on the girl dancing everything calms inside him. Until he sees her with someone else. Someone who is more deserving than him, but there is no way he is letting anyone else take what is meant to be his.

The dance studio is rarely used and Karina gets there early to dance. It is her calm place except she can tell someone has been there even though nothing has changed... except the note propped on the windowsill with her name.  Someone psycho who says he doesn't want to love her.

I loved this book. It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. Dane hates that all people see when they look at him is a gorgeous face and a star quarterback. But even more, he hates himself and that the only way to truly express himself to Karina is when he is drunk and writing her notes from M.K.

I really liked this story, but there was a ton of self-dialogue from both POVs that distracted me from what was going on in the story. Dane had some major issues that he was only able to handle marginally when he was drunk, but when he finally gets the help he needs he might still lose it all because of the secret he is keeping from Karina.

Looking forward to reading more from this author.
