Get a behind-the-scenes all-access pass to Stone, book 1 of the Young Outlaws Nevada Series by TL Wainwright!
***Synopsis***
Young Outlaws MC Vice President Gabriel Parish, otherwise known as Stone, doesn’t do romantic relationships—especially when it could put a target on anyone that’s his.
Being the VP of The Young Outlaws MC, Nevada, means his responsibilities keep him close to home. Until a family tragedy strikes, leaving Stone to manage not only his responsibilities to his club but a new responsibility toward his three-year-old niece.
With no
alternative, he’s forced to hire a live-in nanny. However, the arrival of
Oriana, the young, intelligent university graduate, brings temptations he finds
hard to ignore.
When a second
incident leaves Oriana injured and Sasha missing, Stone is forced to ask
questions.
Could both car
accidents be a coincidence or a targeted attack against the club?
One thing is
clear through all the mayhem and madness; Stone can no longer ignore his
growing feelings toward Oriana.
Once the club get news that at least one of the accidents was an act of revenge, Stone and his Young Outlaws brothers vow to seek their retribution.
What is the sub-genre and trope? Did your characters lead you to this genre or was that decided before the story began?
This is Dark MC Romance. I have a series Young Outlaws Florida and once finished I decided I needed to write more MC.
Are you more character or plot-driven?
Bit of both, but the Characters have been known to lead me down a different path than originally intended.
With many main and secondary characters, how do you keep them separated in your mind? Do you have a story/vision board above your workspace?
Stone is the main character in this first book. The Female is Oriana the Nanny but little three-year-old Sasha ends up stealing the show.
I know from previous interviews that characters take on a life of their own. Were any of the characters in this series determined to take their own direction instead of where you initially wanted them to go?
Not so much in this book. Saying that, I never planned on writing MC at all but two of the characters from the Florida chapter turned up in a previous book JORDAN book 4 of the Damaged Alpha Series. They were screaming to have their own stories told.
Are any of the male POVs based on anyone you know?
Unfortunately, I don’t know any bikers LOL.
Are any of the female POVs based on anyone you know?
Not really.
Was there any one character/scene that was harder to write about than the other?
Some of the more violent screens because I am conscious of not making them too graphic. Wouldn’t want anyone puking into their wastepaper bins now would I?
What is your favorite book in the series?
This is the first book but I have to say, I love it. That might change though when I write book 2, SMOKE.
I know that we aren’t supposed to have “favorites” as far as our children, but seriously, who’s your favorite character and why?
STONE. Smoke at the moment is a coming up close behind.
Series question - Who is your favorite couple and why did you decide on their dynamics?
First book in the series so I’ll plead the fifth on that one.
How do you get inside these characters’ heads to find their perfect HEA?
I really don’t know how to explain that. It just comes to me.
What scene in this book sticks out the most for you? Why?
Towards the end when Oriana is making to leave.
Why? The big arse biker declares his feelings.
Series - Were any of the books harder to write than others?
In the Florida series I would say book 3 Vengeance, but I can’t say why as it would give away a twist.
This question is if you write in MULTIPLE POVs not just the hero and heroine - I love the multiple POVs in a book. It’s not just the hero and heroine, but we get inside the heads of multiple characters throughout this series. I feel that it gives the story further depth. Do you think you will write another book or series following this multiple POV outline?
When book two is written, there will be multiple to integrate the other characters stories.
How long did it take you to write this book/series?
I only write about two per year and maybe an anthology piece. I have a fulltime job too, so it’s a bit of a juggling act.
How did you come up with the title for your book and series?
Young Outlaws came about when I saw a clothing firm’s name. Thought it was cool. I don’t think they are in business now. Hope that’s not a omen.
If you met these characters in real life would you get along?
Damn I hope so. That would be so cool but I confess, motorcycles are pretty to look at, the noise of them sexy but they scare the life out of me.
Series question – Did you know in advance that you were going to write this as a series or did one of the characters in book one demand their own story?
I knew I wanted to write more MC after the Florida series.
If your book/series were made into a movie, which actors do you see as playing your characters?
That’s a hard question to answer because I’m so out of touch with the movie world as my time tends to go on writing and reading. I definitely want an input on who does though.
Can you give us a hint as to what we can expect next? Whether a new book and series or a sequel to an existing series? Can you share a small tease?
SMOKE book 2 comes next. Let’s just say that the President has his own secrets and fears.
