REVIEW - ALMOST PARADISE by Evelyn Sola

Drake Paradise is numb as he watches the casket being lowered into the ground. He still couldn't believe that the man who built the largest construction company in the US and overseas was gone. Taken away from them by pancreas cancer.

He feels the hand of his fiance Scarlett as she wipes a tear from his cheek, but despite all her support, it isn't Scarlett's comfort he yearned for. She wasn't who he woke up thinking about as he was about to bury his hero.

He is sitting at the bar trying to escape all the children at the arcade when he sees a child that looks just like him. Except for the child's curly hair, he is his spitting image. And then he sees her and all his rage over the last four years returns. Nia the woman who ripped out his heart... the woman who couldn't be bothered to let him know he had a son.

I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. Drake Paradise was the heir to Paradise Construction and the second he laid eyes on Nia Nash as orientation he was determined to make her his. Despite his father's rule about not dating anyone in the company, Drake couldn't stay away. But when he returns from a business trip overseas she is gone. Left him after a year together without a word.

This book is action-packed, full of danger and suspense and smoking hot. This has to be my favorite Evelyn Sola book to date. When Drake and Nia cross paths again they are both full of rage at how their relationship ended. Except neither of them knows the truth and what they believe only tears them further apart.

This book is full of deception and when the truth is finally uncovered Drake is devastated. How could he be so blind? Exceptional story! Highly recommend!
