Willow is fighting for control of her car as it fishtails and comes to a stop on the shoulder of the road. It brings back memories of how her adoptive parents died. Looking at the tree that caused her to veer off the road. The same magnolia tree from her nightmares which doesn't make sense since she has never been here before. She can barely breathe when she sees the handmade memorial cross at the base of the tree.
She was willed a white Victorian mansion surrounded by a 50-acre farm. Why would a stranger leave her anything, especially this gorgeous property? And more eerily why was there a memorial under the Magnolia with the name Willow?
Owen is the local vet and when he stopped to help the woman stranded on the side of the road he could tell she thought he was a serial killer by the way she refused his help and it didn't help his cause when she found his van around the curve after she managed to get out of the ditch by herself.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. This is the first book I have read by Terra Weiss, but it will not be the last. Willow is determined to solve the mystery of why a complete stranger would leave her property in his will and was hoping she would finally get answers about her life before being adopted.
She renovates properties in New York and is only in Georgia to arrange the property for sale, but threats and weird accidents keep her from leaving. Being attracted to the handsome vet doesn't help.
This book is action-packed from page one. It is steamy hot, full of danger and suspense and full of major twists and turns. Highly recommend!
