REVIEW - CATCHING EMBER by Beverly Preston

Nash is getting his morning coffee when Randy, his PI, calls him asking why Nash had hired him if he was going to follow Ben Walker's daughter himself.  Sitting at a cafe table outside the cafe, he sees the woman who stands between him and millions of barrels of crude oil.  A shockingly beautiful woman with a full sleeve of tattoos down her arm.

Two weeks ago Ember learned that her mother had lied.  She knew that she was the product of a one-night stand, but she wasn't expecting to find out her mother had kept his identity a secret from both her and her father.  And now it was too late.  Her father was dead and she had promised to spend four months on his massive cattle ranch before making a decision on whether to stay or sell.

She is sitting outside the cafe with earbuds in her ears when she is tackled to the ground.  In shock and struggling to get away from the gorgeous man, she realizes that he has just saved her life as she looks over his shoulder in horror as a huge Longhorn is destroying the table where she had been sitting.  He had just saved her from the stampeding cattle destroying everything in their path.

I loved this book!  It is very well written and the characters are amazing.  Ember has lived her whole life with her carefree mother never knowing that her mother had kept her father's identity a secret.  The last thing she expected was to inherit a ranch of over 100,000 acres and over 10,000 head of cattle.  She had promised to spend four months before deciding what to do with the ranch, but the vultures were already circling.

This book is action-packed from page one.  The chemistry between Ember and Nash is off the charts smoking hot.  I love the storyline and the relationships throughout the story.  Highly recommend!!!
