REVIEW - GRIFFIN: Red and the Big Bad Reaper by Theodora Taylor

Griff is currently gathered around the roadhouse banquet table and bored out of his head.  Usually, he can fight it off and a fight is exactly what he is looking for except the rival club wants selfies and autographs instead which makes the club co-president just roll his eyes.  Along with being part of the Reaper's MC, Griff hires the club to run security for his shows and why his club name is Rockstar.

His attention is drawn to the bar and he can't take his eyes off the redhead standing on the bar top as she yells that Mama Red Bird was in the house.  He watches in shock as all the bikers rush and belly up at the bar with their mouths open as she pours a shot down the mouth of each man and the next line stops forth for their opportunity to be fed by Mama Red Bird.

The waitresses at this no-name roadside biker bar are topless and wearing high cut-off shorts and cowboy boots, but this gorgeous woman is also wearing wings.  Cherry red wings that match her hair.  And suddenly he is no longer bored.  When the bikers return to the table he tells one of them to have her meet him upstairs and they all laugh and tell him that it was never going to happen.  So he makes them a bet that he can change her rules...without her knowing he was a celebrity.

Red grew up in the same small town, attended the same church and kept to herself.  She was an obstetrician nurse and boring.  But, after the death of her grandmother a few months ago she dumped her boyfriend and decided to chase her dreams.  And in order to do that she needed money.

When her friend Allie told her about her uncle's bar and how much money she could make, she put her morals aside and became Red, a wicked vixen who smiles, flirts, and entertains the bikers for huge tips.  But, unlike the other waitresses she is a don't touch kinda girl and never ventures upstairs.  But, when she is approached by the most gorgeous man she has ever seen she decides that maybe just this once she can break her own rules.

I loved this book!  It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable.  When Griff talks her into not only sleeping with him but spending two weeks with him in his father's cabin they only know each other as Red and Griff.  Griff doesn't do relationships, but after spending time with Red he invites her to spend New Year's with him.

But, when she heads towards the address he gave her she stops dead in the road ignoring all the angry drivers honking their horns.  Because she is staring at the huge billboard in front of her showing that Griff isn't security for a band, he is the band.

I love Red and Griff!  This book is action-packed and smoking hot.  This book is full of secrets and misunderstandings and unexpected twists.  Even though she knows he has been looking for her, she manages to hide for close to six years until their paths cross again.  And Griff finds out the biggest secret of all.

Highly recommend this book!
