REVIEW - LUCKY STRIKE by Rochelle Allison

Bria is back in Boston and instead of meeting her best friend since boarding school to celebrate her return, she needs to let off steam. The reason she was back in Boston was an au pair position. She was supposed to start next week, but the family at the last minute decided to move to Madrid for the husband's job. In the meantime she has no income until something else comes along.

When she tells Maeve that she really doesn't want to return to New York Maeve tells her she may have something for her. She knows a single dad who needs a live-in nanny for his four-year-old son. His parents aren't able to help out as much due to his father's health.

The next day she meets with the house manager who seems impressed with her credentials and as they are finishing up she tells her she'll make an appointment to meet Mr. Kelly and his son. As she is taking in the name Kelly a deep voice calls from above telling Nora that Bria just won't do.

Bria heads for the door beyond embarrassed and mortified. How could Maeve do this to her? She could have warned her that the single dad was her oldest brother. Her ex-boyfriend.

I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. This is the first time I have read anything by Rochelle Allison and she totally immersed me in the lives of this extended family.

Conlan "Lucky" Kelly had left Bria nine years ago because he didn't want her involved in his family business. But despite that being even more true now he knows she is the only one he can trust with his son Liam.

This second-chance mafia romance is action-packed, full of danger smoking hot. It will warm your heart and bring you to tears. I can't wait for Tristan's story. Highly recommend!
