Hunter is telling a joke to his brothers while they are cooking, when everything goes quiet as everyone stares at the door.
The beautiful redhead sets her eyes on him and storms over, throwing a folder at his head. He looks at her with a smirk saying 'ooops' and signs the papers. The divorce papers he failed to sign three years ago.
She takes the papers from him and tears them apart and storms upstairs to the apartment they used to share after informing him that he was too late.
I loved this story. It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. This story begins exactly where book one ended.
Hunter and Carys are like night and day. He was a foster child and she was grew up with a silver spoon not knowing what it felt like to be unwanted and needful. Their relationship was explosive and they were like small children playing stupid pranks as punishment to each other.
This book is full of angst and will keep you turning the pages as they try to pretend to be happily married when they are anything but. Totally different feel from book one, but I totally enjoyed it.
