REVIEW - BLUFF by Ashley Jade

Preston works for the mob in Las Vegas.  His boss will do anything to best the Russian mob including sending in Preston to do what he does best.  Gamble.  He packs up his million-dollar winnings and sprints out the casino door as soon he can.

Kit is distraught.  Her boss had invited her up to her room and she was excited for getting to know her better.  As they were leaving the party she's given a pill and told that it will take the edge off.  As she and Jess are kissing Jess asks if she minds being blindfolded.  Everything is going great until she realizes there is someone else in on their games.  Not only was she not told, but it was a man.  Kit did not do men!

So now she is roaming the streets in Las Vegas and lost.  As she is trying to stay upright due to all the booze and whatever drug Jess gave her she gets knocked down by a man running from two men.  When she sees them pull a gun she runs towards them to warn the guy when she stops in shock.  The man with the bag is Preston.

Then she realizes that he is the answer to her problems.  Now she just has to convince the man that she hates that he needs to marry her so she can get her inheritance.

This is book two of the Complicated Parts trilogy.  I didn't think that Ashley Jade could make this story any more complicated, but she is doing an amazing job with her twists and turns.  Preston and Kit hate each other and even though his original reason was she was the woman his ex-girlfriend left him for his feelings for her have become more complicated.

I love these characters.  Kit will do anything to get her rightful inheritance from her mean grandmother even if that means marrying a man.  She is determined that her uncle who she suspects had a hand in her parent's death wouldn't get a cent.  Preston has a tortured past and gambling is the only thing that takes the memories from taking his sanity.

I love Kit and Preston.  The horror that they survived bonded them in a way others don't understand and I really want to see how Ashley Jade pulls this story together because complicated isn't a strong enough word for them to be together.

Highly recommend this series!
