REVIEW - RUINED by M O'Keefe

Poppy was attending a social function where an announcement would be made shortly about her engagement to New York Senator Jim Maxwell.  A cruel man 28 years older than her and she was terrified.  But, it was what Caroline wanted and she owed her so much after the death of her parents.

As she located a back patio away from the eyes of others so she could have a calm moment she realized she wasn't alone.  Standing in the shadows smoking was a blindingly gorgeous Irishman who calmed her nerves when she had come out her to scream.

Ronan was mesmerized by the woman walking barefoot in the grass getting ready to scream out her frustrations.   And then the Senator comes to the patio doors and demands she return to the festivities and he realized that this was the woman being sold off to the Senator.  It was just as well...he was a hitman and she was an innocent.

I loved this book!  It is very well written and catches your attention from page one.  The characters are full of depth and very relatable.

Poppy finds herself an unknowing pawn in a war between the Constantines and Morellis.  This book is full of intrigue and suspense with tons of danger and full of passion.  Although it is not stated, this is book one of a trilogy and they need to be read in order.  Ruined, Broken and Untamed.  There are cliffhangers, but it is so worth it!  I was unable to put the book down once I began.

I highly recommend this book and I will definitely be reading more by M. O'Keefe.
