REVIEW - ACHILLE'S EARTH ANGEL by Brandy Golden

Achilles is lounging by the river with Hercules when he hears a blood-curdling scream of distress. Hercules runs after his friend complaining about why Achilles felt he had to be the one to save her reminding him that every time Achilles rescued someone they got punished. Reflecting on Zeus's last punishment of cleaning all of the horse stables on Mount Olympus.

Zeus had banned all contact with Earth's inhabitants and he didn't look forward to another punishment.  One of Poseidon's sons Epaphras was bending a small figure trying to kiss them against their will. After kneeing his attacker Achilles was in shock when the boy spun around with an angry look on his face.  Except it wasn't a boy...it was a woman even more beautiful than Aphrodite.

After disabling the man who had attacked her, Ange she turned to see two men who looked like they stepped out of a Greek movie set...wearing tunics and their muscles had muscles. When they told her attacker to leave she watched in shock as he walked into the sea and became worried when he didn't reappear.

He may have been a jerk, but he didn't deserve to die on the most dangerous beach in the area. No one was allowed to swim on this beach because of disappearances. When they told her he was Poseidon's son she scoffed...like they were the real Achilles and Hercules.

I loved this book!  It is very well written and the characters are fully developed (lol) and relatable.  This may be a short story, but it is full of action and I couldn't put it down.  Achilles is quick to let Ange know what happens when she puts herself in danger, but I think what I loved most about him was his sense of honor and the lengths he would go to be with her.

Highly recommend!
