When Souls Collide by Célia Pereira
GENRE – Contemporary Romance
BLURB
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no
record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
1 Corinthians 13: 4-7
~~~~~~~~~~~~
I did not protect, did not trust, and I did not fight to keep our love alive.
Instead, I allowed the opinions of others to create doubt and fear inside me until I
ruined us. Ruined our lives.
Destroyed our love.
While I was stuck living with the guilt of my reckless outbursts, fate thought it wise to
test me. To throw my past into my future and see if the outcome would be different.
Only I wasn’t prepared.
Everything bled together, and the doubt and fear consumed me. Once again.
When people said that karma was a bitch, they weren’t exaggerating.
However, the part they tended to forget was that those consequences stemmed from
your choices.
And I—along with everyone else around me—was about to pay a high price for mine.
Célia Pereira resides in Ontario, Canada, in the heart of Toronto. She and her family immigrated from Portugal but traveled back each summer. She speaks Portuguese fluently, as it is her first language.
Célia works full-time as a receptionist in a realtor law firm by day; and by night, she lets her imagination run wild and creates dramatic stories. When she’s not working, she spends her time with her nieces, family, and friends, but where you can find her most often is in a Starbucks, lost in a book with a caramel macchiato in hand.
