REVIEW - THE PROPOSAL PLAYBOOK by Samantha Chase

Daisy had her dream job as an event planner, but she was struggling lately.  Why were the proposal stories so boring?  Where was the romance?  How can she keep from showing her disappointment when her clients are in front of her saying they were proposed to at a funeral, had their engagement ring stuffed inside a peanut butter and banana sandwich, or in the middle of someone else's wedding speech.

Her brother's proposals were the worst.  One asked in the nacho line at a hockey game and another got down on one knee at a Sunday get-together and jumped up to celebrate a play on TV in the middle of his proposal.  Luckily, her younger brother wanted help.

The latest clients were leaving the conference room when her bosses, Skylar, Leanna, and Josie, pulled her aside.  She had totally zoned out when they told their proposal story and it had evidently been noticed.

When Daisy explained her frustrations with not only why no one was romantic anymore, but that her brother had turned down her fifty proposal suggestion Josie suggested they have a cookout with all their significant others including two of their single men friends so Daisy could get feedback from men and their input on proposals.

Daisy wasn't looking forward to this get-together as one of these single friends was Xander.  The overbearing jerk who bossed her around just like her brothers.  Were all military men such jerks?

I loved this book!  It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable.  Xander and Daisy are totally combustible.  Daisy is an army brat and grew up with a father and three older brothers who thought she couldn't take care of herself.  The last thing she needed was another overbearing man in her life.

Xander can't help himself.  He speaks before thinking and although his only thoughts are Daisy's safety he comes off as bossy instead of caring.  I laughed so hard at Daisy's reactions to Xander.  This book is action-packed and Xander and Daisy's sexual chemistry is smoking hot.

I highly recommend this book!
