REVIEW - EAST by Vanessa Vale

East was sitting at the bar when a gorgeous woman approaches and is shocked when he hears "So will you pretend to have sex with me?"  Her roommates wanted to make sure she got laid for her birthday and told her if she didn't pick someone they would do it for her.

East was upset that these "friends" would put her in danger, but decided to help her, but he wanted anything but pretend.

Ella was just getting her computer set up for her stats class when she hears his voice explaining that their professor had delivered her baby several months earlier than expected and he was their substitute professor.  Looking up in shock she finds that man she had propositioned and had sex with the night before was looking at her with the same shock.

I loved this book!  It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable.  Ella is a struggling college student determined to succeed so she can help children in the foster system.  I love Ella's strength and determination.  Not only is she trying to overcome her disadvantages growing up in the foster system, but she has a secret she hopes never comes to light.

East is a very complex man.  This mathematical genius is not only a professor, but a billionaire with a dark side.  I love East and his struggles to came his demons.  I love relationship he has with his siblings and their down to earth humor.

This modern Cinderella retelling is full of action, danger and smoking hot chemistry.  I highly recommend this book and can't wait to read the rest of this series!
