Emery and Harrison have had a rocky romance.
They first meet when Emery spills coffee all over him in the lobby of his firm Duke Capital. When his wife Blythe happens to see his reaction to Emery she hatches a plan.
Harrison and Blythe may be married, but they have been separated for a while. Ever since he found her sleeping with his best friend Robert. But, he was refusing to sign the divorce papers out of spite. He was determined that she wasn't getting anything else from him. She had already stolen enough.
So Blythe pulls the injured wife card on Emery. Telling her how all he is interested in is money and sex. How rough he is with her and of all his cheating. She offers Emery $50,000 to seduce her husband. Give him a reason to want to sign her divorce papers.
Emery finds out too late that Blythe is a conniving lying b!tch. And before she can come clean with Harrison, he sees the check from Blythe on her dresser. When Emery realizes how much she truly messed up and lost, she returns to Kansas.
This series has been wonderful! The storyline kept my attention from page one of book one and I couldn't stop reading. The characters are amazing and the plot flowed so smoothly throughout all their difficulties.
The cliffhanger from book two put Emery in a tailspin and she tries hard to believe in Harrison, but her doubts just keep popping up. When they think they are finally getting their HEA, someone tries to take it away from them and it's not who you expected.
Highly recommend this series! It is full of action, suspense, it is steamy sexy hot and will take you for a wonderful ride!
