I know that we aren’t supposed to have “favorites” as far as our children, but seriously, who’s your favorite character and why?
This question gets me every time! I love all my characters and spend a lot of time in their heads so I feel for each one of them.
Gage, the hero of Arrogant Player, is one of my favorite heroes because his character arc is one of the most dramatic I have written. He’s a player who thinks he’s incapable of love—until he meets his one and only. He falls hard and I had fun taking him down a notch, which he definitely deserves. He ends up being one of my most romantic heroes.
What scene in this book/series sticks out the most for you? Why?
There are lots! One of my favorites is in Hopeless Romantic when quarterback Bo McCabe stops playing in the middle of the game when he sees Millie on the Jumbotron.
He’s been saving himself for true love and he falls for her at first sight—but then he can’t find her and his quest goes viral. It was a fun book to write.
Can you give us a hint as to what we can expect next? Whether a new book and series or a sequel to an existing series? Can you share a small tease?
I’ve just started working on a book called Lovestruck, which is a spin-off of Hopeless Romantic. Bo’s teammate Shawn falls for the very off-limits coach’s daughter.
And I’m starting a brand new series set in Hawaii that I’m super-excited about; the first book in the series is Devil Angel, which will release in March.
