SYNOPSIS:

The Lycan Knights – Prequel starts off in Jerusalem at the end of the crusades.

These six Lycans are a part of an ancient Order in the Lycan world called the Knights of Arcadia. They are given a task from the Grandmaster of the Knights Templar to hide their treasure. On their journey back to Scotland each one finds their fated mate, along with battling to keep the treasure hidden.

The series will continue forward in time to the grandsons of these six knights where they too are a part of the order and will continue to live out their grandfather’s oath to protect the treasure at all costs. While also finding their fated mates.

What is the sub-genre and trope?  Did your characters lead you to this genre or was that decided before the story began?

These books are Paranormal Romances Both Contemporary and Historical

Are you more character or plot driven?

I try to keep in mind what the basis of the story is, but as I feature each character, they come to the forefront.

With many main and secondary characters, how do you keep them separated in your mind?  Do you have a story/vision board above your workspace?

No. I do not have a any type of story or vision board.  I just keep them all in my head.

I know from previous interviews that characters take on a life of their own.  Were any of the characters in this series determined to take their own direction instead of where you initially wanted them to go?

Only one, they meet an ancient Elf along the way, he just showed up in my head, but he is mischievous, but likes the knights and helps them out along the way whether they like or not.

Are any of the male POVs based on anyone you know?

Not really.

Are any of the female POVs based on anyone you know?

(Spoiler Alert)

There are a set of twins (females) that I have based loosely on my ex-husband and his identical (mirror) twin brother personallities.

What is your favorite book in the series?

Since this is the first in the series, I would have to say this one. But who’s to say.  In the end there will be at least 7 books in this series with 2 more sequels I am still working out in my head.

This question is if you write in MULTIPLE POVs not just the hero and heroine - I love the multiple POVs in a book.  It’s not just the hero and heroine, but we get inside the heads of multiple characters throughout this series.  I feel that it gives the story further depth.  Do you think you will write another book or series following this multiple POV outline?

This first book, has 6 heros and 6 heroines, it was a large undertaking, but I think it all worked out in the end.

Will I write another, I don’t know yet.  It was fun, but a lot.

How long did it take you to write this book/series?

I actually started this book in 2021 late in the year but didn’t really sit down and get serious about it until the beginning of this year.  I had to set my self a deadline, or I would not have finished it.

How did you come up with the title for your book and series?

I had already decided on the Lycan Knights as the name of the series, so since this was the story behind the more contemporary ones coming I just added Prequel.

The following books will be titles after the main male characters.  For now, that is the plan anyways.

If you met these characters in real life would you get along?

I think so, none of them are too over the top.

Series question – Did you know in advance that you were going to write this as a series or did one of the characters in book one demand their own story?

I started out writing the second book in the series, and thought they needed a back story.  So, I backed up and wrote this one.

Can you give us a hint as to what we can expect next?  Whether a new book and series or a sequel to an existing series?  Can you share a small tease?

The following books are about the grandsons of the original six knights. They take up the mantle of the task that was given to their grandfathers of guarding the Templar’s treasure.

Each book with start off somewhere at a historical point in history, then come to modern times.
