Penelope had gotten through her brother Spence's wedding, through the required wedding photo shots without seeing Beckham. But, she had gotten complacent and is now face to face with her ex-best friend. She thought they would be best friends forever. They had been inseparable since kindergarten until eight months ago. But, with all the perks of growing up with billions at his feet Beckham spent most of his time at Hanna's home in the suburbs. Both of his parents jumped from one relationship to another and made it evident that a child had never been something they wanted.
Now he is back in New York and determined to mend his friendship with Hanna. Although now he realizes that he wants more and is determined to show Hanna that he is no longer the relationship phobic from the past.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters kept me laughing. Hanna was heartbroken when her best friend ghosted her and was determined to not have her heart shattered again. Her relationship with her parents, brothers and their significant others is heartwarming and their interactions kept me laughing.
Beckham had major relationship issues due to his...wow, there are no words really for his parents. This book is action packed, full of laughter and steamy hot chemistry. I burst out laughing so many times I was happy to be reading in the privacy of my home as I definitely would have been getting some strange looks.
I highly recommend this book and will definitely going back to read the first books in this series!
