“Apparently not, as he’s dead set on marrying that girl. Oh, Del,” she said walking to her son and placing her hand on his arm. “You could do so much better,” she pleaded. “Del, there are so many young women out there who are much more beautiful and clever. Why do you insist on marrying into that crazy O’Malley family?” she cried.

“That’s an easy question, Mother,” he replied calmly. “I love Bridget; I love her crazy family and what’s more, they love me. They’re real and honest and hard working.
