Lorenz had just returned from the desert after running 4 marathons in as many days. His body was sore and he had jet lag. The last thing he wanted to do on his first day back at the PGHM was to spend the day with children.

Charlie loved teaching second graders. She was both excited and nervous for the field trip she had planned for them. They were going to spend the day learning about mountain safety and maybe climb the rock wall.
The last thing she wanted to do was climb a rock wall. Her one and only attempt at rock climbing had made it clear it wasn't the sport for her. But that wasn't her other issue with this field trip. And as soon as her feet hit the ground after her kids had shouted their encouragement, there he was.

I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. This book has it's own HEA, but this series is based on a group of men and women who work for the PGHM's mountain rescue team and I highly recommend you read the complete series. You will fall in love with the French Alps and this team.
This book is action-packed, steamy hot, and full of suspense and danger. This is a second-chance romance that has all the feels. I am sad that this is the last book in this series, but I did see a possible spin-off, so we will have to see if we meet these guys again.
If you love romantic suspense, you will love JR Pace! Her characters and immersive stories will have you coming back again and again! Highly recommend!
