Victoria Markham stepped out of the SUV, her eyes landing on the huge, bearded man who stepped out of the hangar. She was told that his bush pilot was her only chance of making it to Anchorage to make her Seattle connection to Dublin. The nicest description they had received was that he had a difficult personality.
What worried her more than that was the plane. A tiny Cessna that looked like it should have been retired years ago and did she mention it was tiny.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. This is book 30 in the multi-author Stateside Dom series and has its own HEA.
This book is action-packed and full of danger as they make a crash landing in the middle of the Alaskan wilderness after bad weather and a large bird took out the engine. Victoria learns the hard way that following Grant's rules weren't about giving up control, but were a matter of life and death.
Grant's dyslexia had him treated as stupid in school and even though he owned his own airport and plane never got over his feelings of not being enough. Definitely not enough for a woman who had her own multi-billion international company. This may be a short story, but it is smoking hot and full of emotion. Highly recommend.
