Janey was excited for her weekend getaway with her fiancé before heading to her cousin's wedding. When he gets caught up in a meeting, she sets out alone for the isolated cabin to relax until he can join her later that night.
She leaves the shower and wraps herself in a towel, and instead of her fiancé, a total stranger has entered the cabin. An intimidating man dressed head to toe in black. She grabs the first thing at hand and lobs it at his head.
Cole's best friend loaned him his cabin for the weekend since it was close to where he needed to be to stake out a cheating husband. Only he failed to let Cole know there was a last-minute reservation and she wasn't too happy when he walked in the door.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. This book can be read as a standalone, but the sibling characters are recurring and it is so much more enjoyable reading the series in order.
Janey is so excited to have some private time with her fiancé away from his demanding job, only to find out that he hadn't been attending late-night meetings and he waited until she in a remote cabin before letting her know he had been having an affair and wouldn't be joining her.
Now she had to find a fake fiancé to attend her cousin's wedding as her plus-one. Her cousin has bullied her through childhood and hasn't grown up any better and the last thing she wants is for her to make a big deal that Janey is attending alone. Now if only she can convince her unexpected cabin mate to be her fake fiancé.
This book is action-packed, steamy hot and will keep you laughing. I mean, a fake fiancé with a total stranger- what could possibly go wrong? Highly recommend this series!
